DynoStorm Results for my VW R32

I was really disappointed with my DynoStorm Restults. I will do another run with nothing inside the car, since I had lots of stuff in the car and a friend.

Car: VW Golf MKV R32 – 2009
Mods:

Milltek Exhaust with Magna Flow Resonator (I will take off this resonator and put back the Milltek Non Res Pipe and have another run).
VF Engineering Air Intake

Below is my results:

0-100KPH 6.91 Sec
1/4 Mi : 14.54 Sec @ 166.6 KPH

Peak Power: 180 HP ~ Wheel Power ~ Since no drive train loss was entered.

Getting a new DSG Gearbox soon

My Gearbox had few issues lately, we have changed the Mechatronic, but yet it is not shifting correctly! I am having hard shifts from 1st to 2nd. Down shifting is always jerky.. After complaining several times, a new gearbox has been ordered for me!

So, yesterday I received my VF Engineering Air Intake and I couldn’t wait for another day to get it installed… So, I called my friend Ammar and thanks to him, I have my intake installed!!

VW R32 vs BMW M3

Saturday Night, I raced my friend BMW E46 M3.. We had lots of fun! I was shocked with the results.. I never imagined that my car would keep up with the M3.
My AWD Haldex System and Dual Clutch Gearbox (DSG) with the Launch control does it all. The car is absolutely fast and powerful and yet fun to drive. I really love this car.

The M3 was taking the lead, however, the distance was really short between us, I was just behind his rear bumper. The R32 is really worth its price!

On the 16th of June 09, I got my Milltek Exhaust System installed on my R32.

It’s a non resonated exhaust system, so it’s really loud.. It sounds really nice and cool!

My new car VW R32

On Saturday 18th of April, I have decided to buy the R32. So, I went for a test drive and I immediately fell in love with it. So, I traded my BMW with the R32. On Wednesday 22nd of April, I got the car. In 6 days I drove about 800 KM. So, here is a quick review about the car.

The R32 has a V6 Engine with a displacement of 3.2L. The Engine has a 250 HP @ 6300 RPM and output torque of 236 lb/ft @ 2500 RPM.

Exterior

This car looks so pretty! Especially with the centered dual exhaust.

Interior

The R32 interior is so beautiful, it’s a very pleasant place to be. Everything is almost perfectly engineered. It’s very spacy, although the one I bought is 2 doors, but yet, it very spacy!

Navigation and Multimedia System

When it comes to the Navigation and Multimedia System, I am speechless! A Wonderful 3D Navigation System with a touch screen.
All of the options and navigation are animated, and yet, very responsive. Also, the car comes with an internal hard drive of 30GB (as per the spec sheet I have, however, they told me that the NAV has been copied to its internal drive, thats why I have only 18GB free space.) to copy your MP3s to the car and get rid of the CDs.

Performance and Handling

I love its performance, I love the way it launch and the it handles. This car is driven by All wheels all the time! I have seen videos on Youtube showing that this car is able to do 0-60MPH in 5.8 Seconds! Thats about 0-100KM/h in 6 seconds flat!

The handling of this car is awesome, its a sports car with the comfort feel! Very hard to find.

Summary

I liked almost every feature in this car, I think I have made the right choice trading my BMW with this R32. I know, for the same price I could have got something with more power and sportier, but honestly, after test driving many cars on the same Saturday. I have made my choice with the R32.

Audi Q5 — Test Drive and review

Few Weeks ago, Audi Center Bahrain called me to test drive the New Audi Q5. I had the Q5 since yesterday afternoon, and I will return it back tomorrow (Saturday).

Since I have got the Audi Q5 and I am extermely happy about it. I liked almost every feature in this car. So, I thought of Blogging my review about the Q5.

The car I got is a fully loaded Q5 3.2 V6, with 20″ Rims and Panorama Roof!

Yesterday was a rainy day and today is a sunny day, so it was a perfect combination for the test drive.

Exterior

This car is handsome, well, even pretty!

Interior

The Q5 interior is so beautiful, it’s a very pleasant place to be. Everything is almost perfectly engineered.

Navigation and Multimedia System

When it comes to the Navigation and Multimedia System, I am speechless! A Wonderful 3D Navigation System with a control dial that is similar some-how to the BMW IDrive.
All of the options and navigation are animated, and yet, very responsive.

Performance and Handling

I never saw a V6 SUV that have this much of power, but yet, controlable! Its a high performance SUV with a good wonderful handling capability. The car somes with 7 Speed Dual-Clutch gearbox that shifts up extermely fast! The acceleration of this car is excellent for a 6 Cylinders SUV.

The handling of this car is awesome, I have never seen any SUV like this car before. It drives and handles like a sports car yet with comfort!

Braking

I really can’t find the right words to talk about its braking capability! When I hit the brakes, the car stops in almost no time, and I feel that my body is staying but my flush wants to go out!

Summary

I liked almost every feature of this car, however, the gearbox shifts too soon in both Auto and Comfort Driving modes! In Dynamic mode, the gearbox shifts in a perfect time for me and the car feels more responsive in this mode.
