Attempt to fix the Storm screen click

I have tried to loosen the screws a bit, and it worked. However, I have to do some tweaking now.. Try to adjust until I get my perfect setting!

I got my storm from repairs..

I got my storm from repairs.. Yet the screen doesn’t click well!! I think I will try losing the screws as suggested here: http://blackberrystorm.wikidot.com/screen-click-problem-fixed

Arabic Fonts for Blackberry OS >= 4.5

I finally have done it, I have been resisting to do an OTA package for arabic support for a long time, but now, when I started getting lots of Blackberries from my friends that doesn’t have arabic support and they wanted arabic support (Reading only)… I thought it would be easier for me to give them a link to download the arabic fonts directly to their BB’s.. Waiting for my storm to come back from repairs!

My Storm has been sent to repairs few weeks ago, and I am waiting for it to come back this weekend. Temporarily I am using a Blackberry Pearl!

I don’t have time to upgrade to Hybird OS

I don’t have enough time to upgrade to Hybird OS after I have downgraded my OS, I will probably upgrade once again when I come back from Cyprus.

GoogleTalk doesn’t work with OS 5.0

GoogleTalk doesn’t work with OS 5, I will downgrade to 4.7 and then install a hybird firmware. Tonight is the testing night..

First impressions with Blackberry Storm OS 5

The Startup of the device is slow, however, once it starts, the device is noticeably faster. I like the new animations when menus come up.. And Blackberry Messenger 5 really rocks..

Upgrading my Storm Blackberry to OS 5

I am currently (while I am typing) upgrading my Blackberry Storm to a leaked OS version 5, I hope everything goes fine… I think I have chosen a bad time to do the upgrade and leave!! I am packing my spare phone!

I have tried it, its really nice, fast and it doesn’t drain the battery.. As advertised! Well Done!

I just got my new Blackberry Bold 9000

I always wanted the Bold, but it took me so much time to get one. Anyway, I finally got one now!!

The OTB firmware is soo buggy, mine is 4.6.126… I am currently downloading 4.6.234.
I will write about the new firmware once its loaded and tested.

Blackberry Arabic fonts

Last night I was trying to upgrade my Blackberry Curve (8320) firmware. I downloaded a firmware from the internet and upgraded the blackberry to OS 4.5.0.124.

The firmware is much better than the older firmware (T-Mobile) 4.5.0.82. Faster, and more free memory. However, the newer firmware didn’t have arabic fonts. I kept on searching the internet on how to add arabic fonts to the blackberry, until I found a way.

I installed the older firmware arabic fonts to the newer one. It worked perfectly!!
